A quick glimpse into this story, and me.
I have been working in retail since I was 14 and one thing has always bothered me. The fact that people have no consideration for anyone else. Each person believes that their time is more precious than anyone Else's. No one has consideration for anything but whats going on with themselves.
How many times do you wonder what is going on with someone Else's life? What their troubles are? What their fears are?
We don't think about these things.... mainly because we have our own problems... our own stresses. And they blind us to everyone else.
When I wrote the first draft of this short stories series it was just a joke. Something I did because I was bored. It was a new thing for me, normally I write Science Fiction or Fantasy. But... one day I was fed up. And I wrote about my life.
My friend read it and she told me that I needed to continue writing this story. But, I wasn't sure if i should. I was scared. I was out of my realm. So I decided to get another opinion (after all friends tend to be supportive even when they shouldn't be). So I gave my short story to my mother. Now most people would think my mother would be supportive despite the outcome.... but that's not the truth. My mother has always told me the truth (sometimes earth shattering) about my writing. And my mother actually laughed when she read it.
Since then I have worked on the story, I have put my soul into it, and I have asked for other opinions. Each outcome has been the same. Everyone tells me that I need to do something with it. So here I am. Giving you the first installment of The Customer Is Always Wrong.
I want to make it clear that this story is completely fictional. It is not based on truth. There are no organizations that are being called out in this. All characters are completely fictional and owned by myself.
With that I give you.... The Customer Is Always Wrong.
